Water Wednesdays




Do you know what Water Wednesdays are? If you are an intermittent faster or trying a low carb lifestyle this can only enhance it a step ahead.

Fasting is known to to be therapeutic; there is some preliminary evidence that it may benefit those on chemotherapy. It can help alleviate some symptoms of depression and it is also said to strengthen the immune system by building new cells. Fasting for 24 hours in a week by consuming only water is very efficient. A regular weekly one day water fasting is beneficial in many ways; it can improve digestive efficiency, neurological clarity and enhancements. It also increases mental and physical health, detoxes the processed chemicals.

Water Wednesdays-Rules and Regulations
For those interested in fasting one day per week:
* Set a cut off time for your last meal today (mine ends @ 6 pm today).
* You may have water, coffee and/or tea only. (No dairy)
* No food, broth, fat, BCAAs, sweeteners, jello or soda pop. It’s only ONE DAY and I know you can do it. If it’s too hard, then have some broth or a couple of spoonful of MCT/coconut oil or butter. The goal is to stop eating for one full day (and some of this time you will be asleep!).
* Set the clock for 24 hours. If you start at 6 pm Tuesday night, then break your fast at 6 pm Wednesday night
* Eat dinner and carry on.

Disclaimer: It is NOT recommended for newbies to fast, hence do NOT try the water Wednesdays if you are a newbie. If you are not fat adapted, please do NOT stress your body by attempting the fast yet. There will be plenty of Water Wednesdays to join in on down the road. Challenge yourself and read-up everything above if you are a healthy person and take your medical professional’s advice and jump on the water fasting wagon!!!
